The yellow crazy ant is one of the worst invasive ant species; in fact it is one of the worlds worst invasive species period. One reason it is bad and difficult to control is because it farms insects that produce honeydew. They feed off the honeydew (a sugary substance produced by certain insects) and in return for the food they protect the homopterans from predation.
