Kamehameha decked out in lei

It's been a while since I took any really serious photos and I revisited the Kamehameha statute. I used my wide angle and macro lenses for these shots. Placing lei on Kamehameha to honor him is a great tradition. I only wish the lei were made from native flowers. Even the maile used is not from Hawai‘i. It is probably from the Cooke Islands. I hope one day I'll take photos and it will be of a Kamehameha statue with lei made from the flowers of Hawai‘i.
