The Year of Broken Things

Every so often, the year seems to have a trend and I decide to label it with a name of sort to reflect whatever has been happening.  As such I have decided to dub 2014 as The Year of Broken Things. It really is an apt name and today was essentially the tipping point for it. I mean look at the last few months. In a way, I broke or I was pushed to being very close to my breaking point.

There as been though a lot of stuff that had broken, mostly in the last few months. Earlier in the summer my MacBook Air decided it was partially done with me. Some keys didn't want to work for me. They happened to be important ones. Soon after my iPad seemed to decide to rather abruptly and almost spontaneously shatter.  Then the tint on my car window began to pull off. That was followed by the master switch controlling my car windows breaking. While headed to fix that problem I learned that my rack and pinion steering was having a problem. Then, today, I broke the the screen of my replacement iPad.

So yes, it is officially the Year of Broken Things.
