I started really getting into photography taking pictures of insects for work. This was under the most ardurous conditions— either tight close-ups of eyes or other structures or of fluourescent genes I inserted into flies as a marker. From there my interest grew from macrophotography of insects to flowers and from there, to underwater photography, action photography and increasingly people.
