I went to the B.B. King Concert with my friends from Kaimuki Camera (Neil took the picture above). He went through all this trouble to sneak in a camera, but there were people everywhere taking pictures, going into the aisles or even worse, up on stage using their flashes. This after being warned not to take photos and security present everywhere. I couldn’t understand it. Oh sure, we were taking photos. We didn’t use a flash and we stayed in our seats. We weren’t rudely obstructing other people’s view— especially those that paid to be in good seats, like we did.
This is not to say the concert wasn’t good. It was. It was incredible to see B.B. play, especially knowing that this is, probably, the last chance the people of Hawaiʻi will get to see him play. But the experience was marred by the bad (and drunken) behavior by others.
