ʻAlae keʻokeʻo are pretty cool birds. For one thing, they are incredibly territorial. For another they have these goofy big feet. And finally they really suck at flying. Well, ʻalae keʻokeʻo fly about as well as the Wright Flyer flew. What inspired this little bird to fly? Simple, it was being chased!
